A Welded Composite Shell combines the thermal efficiency of an insulated composite panel with a welded skin. This results in a ultra-durable structure with zero thermal bridging, keeping your camper warm in winter and cool in summer.
Every BushRunner is proudly built in Canada, just outside Ottawa, Ontario.
Our campers feature 2” R10 foam insulation sandwiched between two layers of aluminum, creating a waterproof, thermally efficient structure. The outer aluminum skin is welded together, eliminating the need for screws, fasteners, or adhesives that could fail over time.
Aluminum is highly durable, corrosion-resistant, UV-proof, and fully weldable, making it the perfect material for a seamless, one-piece camper shell.
Weights vary depending on build options, but here are some key numbers:
For those prioritizing a lighter build, we can modify configurations—such as reducing solar capacity—to save weight.
We use a Suburban forced-air direct vent propane furnace—a time-tested, mechanical system with no unnecessary electronics that could fail in harsh conditions. It features a proper thermostat for set-it-and-forget-it operation. Our HVAC package includes two 11 lb. propane tanks with a dual regulator setup, ensuring a backup supply.
A standard 120V bar fridge for ease of replacement and cost savings. Optional sizes are available.
BushRunner features an induction cooktop that transfers 90% of its energy directly into your food, compared to 55% for propane. This reduces moisture buildup inside the camper. If you prefer propane cooking, we can accommodate that too.
We are developing additional models. If you have specific size requirements, contact us to discuss customization.
For simplicity, we include a designated storage space for a cassette toilet or similar portable system.
Yes, but A/C units require high-power consumption and may reduce the available space for solar panels. However, our campers are highly reflective and well-insulated, reducing heat buildup compared to traditional RVs. Shore power makes A/C operation simple.
We have made provisions for a sink, but to keep builds lightweight and simple, it is not included as a standard feature.
It represents the main cabin length in inches (76”). It fits within the box of most full-size, short-bed pickup trucks with the tailgate closed.
The BushRunner 76 is designed to fit most full-size half-ton trucks and larger. However, we always recommend measuring your truck’s box and confirming fitment before purchase.
The BushRunner 76 comes with a 2,000-watt continuous inverter, used primarily for powering the fridge and induction cooktop. Additional outlets allow for appliances like coffee makers and toasters.
Unlike most campers that require drilling holes into the roof, we weld mounting tabs directly onto the shell. This eliminates weak points, ensuring a waterproof design.
The standard setup includes 500 watts of roof-mounted solar panels, but we can increase that to 600 watts. Portable solar options are also available.
To keep designs simple and lightweight, we do not include a built-in water tank, but custom options are available upon request.
Our jack mounts do not require drilling holes into the shell, eliminating another potential leak point. Made from powder-coated aluminum, they are lightweight, rustproof, and feature a quick-release design for easy removal.
Rigid panels last longer and are more reliable than flexible ones, though they are heavier. If weight is your priority, we can accommodate flexible panels.
Integrated rails, welded directly to the camper, allow for easy mounting of accessories like roof racks, ladders, and external storage boxes—without drilling holes into the shell.
Thermal bridging occurs when a material transfers heat directly between the inside and outside, creating cold spots, condensation, and moisture buildup. BushRunner virtually eliminates condensation with thermal break technology, preventing mould and interior damage.
R-value measures insulation performance. Many all-weather resistant campers have as little as R4 insulation—BushRunner uses R10 foam insulation, 2” thick, ensuring warmth in even the harshest conditions.
BushRunner isn’t just another truck camper—it’s a fully welded, seamless composite shell designed to withstand extreme weather and off-grid adventures. Whether it’s the rugged durability of aluminum, the efficiency of induction cooking, or the reliability of a leak-proof design, every detail is engineered for performance.
